New firmware

I bought a SCX 4300 a few hours back, searched around for instructions after initial failures (that is how I stumbled upon your post), followed.

Firmware Xerox B210 (SD) // 10 symbols 85.000.58.000f // SN + 5

Before you continue with the reprogramming of the firmware, please make sure that the device is installed on your computer. Remove the chip from the cartridge or seal it up. And make sure that any other devices (except mouse and keyboard), which are connected to your computer via USB or LPT portsare disconnected. 1. Run file 'fix13.bat', afterwards a file 'FIX_SCX4300_V1.13_Fact_romdl.hd' is created

2. Connect the printer to the computer and turn it on

3. Wait until the printer is ready for work

4. Then some buttons should be pressed in the following order as quickly as possible:

Menu, copy, left, right, menu, right

5. If you have done everything correctly, then the 'TECH MODE' should appear on the menu display

6. After that go to 'DATA SETUP', find and click 'FLASH UPGRADE', then click 'LOCAL'

7. If everything was done correctly, the printer says 'Data receiving'

8. Then run file 'download.bat' on the computer from the folder you downloaded

9. After running this file, on the printers’ display should appear instructions:

DATA RECEIVING> FLASH ERASING> FLASHPROGRAMMING> CHECKSUMMING> DOWNLOAD OK

10. If everything was done correctly, the printer should restart

11. The reprogramming of the firmware is completed. Restart the printer

12. The last thing left to do is to reset the counters - in order to do that, go via menu to the following section:

Maintenance> Reset> All Settings [OK]

The firmware reprogramming file is not protected against any updates from the Samsung website! Do not download any updates yourself!
