The combat is unique and approachable, the world around you feels like Skyrim if Skyrim had less dragons, a strong basis in real history and actually interesting Npc interaction world is amazingly real feeling. Much more than that the storytelling quality is on par with the Witcher, engages and interests the player while enticing them to carry on past dying or losing ur horse (i got caught lockpicking and thrown in jail during 1st quest cant find horse since).
However, there r some glaring issues that have caused me to stop playing several times now. My biggest issue is that quest objectives r not clearly marked which leads u to accidentally miss things and need 2 redo. There r a lot of minor issues that add up to a tedious play experience, like map markers, while cool artistically, r too big make it hard to see what to do. Overall i recommend this game even full price, just know what u r signing up 4. The graphics look very good, the forests are absoultely gorgeous although some parts seemed a bit barren of wildlife or lacking in a wider varerity of wildlife. Still, the fact that I could see a destination far off into the distance and ride there without any load times was a boon. However, I found the save system frustrating and that my character couldnt swim or give to the poor. I absoultely loved how Christ-centered the dialogue in much of the game.
I like how they got both the horseback riding and combat on horseback correct. I liked the music as well, sometimes I would just boot up the game just to listen to the music.
The main campaign is long and there are a slew of side missions to keep you busy this game is definitely worth the money; the question is do you have the patience?
